When Food is Inspriring

One of the latest poem I wrote, Low Fat Cheese was published by Richard van der Draay on his poetry blog-journal Ancient Heart to which I have already contributed many times with Awakening, Bath and With Love from Euphor, all previoulsy published in other publications. I tried with a fresh and yet unprublished poem this time and had the good surprise to see it already on line this afternoon.

It's here.

Cyclamens & Swords Spring 2012 Issue

cyclamens, swords, poetry, spring, 2012, Four poems translated from the French and written back in the 1990s in England appear in the Spring issue of Cyclamens & Swords edited by Johnmichael Simon and Helen Bar-Lev. This on line journal of poetry was created in 2008 and takes its name from Johnmichael and Helen's illustrated book of poetry published by Ibbetson Street Press in 2007.

These poems. 'The Angels' Birth 17', 'Out of Phased Sonnet', 'Two Angels Under the Moon 1' and 'Disturbed Sonnet' are taken from two different collections I assembled with a third one lately, the whole collection telling a love-affair which ends bad as they all do - like the Rita Mitsouko sang.

I submitted it to different French publishers who declined it... Still wonder how it is possible that French publishers can be so uninterested by my poetry when so many editors and English-speaking editors and publishers do like it and want some more... A cultural shift probably but this doesn't reconcile me with my compatriots.

It is the second time I contribute to Cyclamens & Swords. The first time was last year in the Summer 2011 issue with poems from my collection De Maore (From Mayotte) that Lapwing (Belfast) will publish at the end of the current year.

You can read these poems here.

Late Acceptance Letter for Candy

candy, prose, poetry, kaspar, tissot, teasea, typing, tankThis piece of prose poetry was originally written in French in Manchester and appeared much later in the mid 2000s in Roller Pen, a blog the late Ludovic Kaspar maintained to publish auhtors such as Marlène Tissot, Denis Emorine, and many more I forgot. I translated Candy a few years ago and am delighted it was finally accepted by The Typing Tank a blog created and managed by teasea.inc.

You can read the blog here and Candy here.
